Construction plan Sub28

the cabinet

The Sub 28 consists of 6 wooden plates and internally another one to reduce the natural frequency.

The seven parts will be stucked topgether (and in addition screwed if you want). Afterwards make the holes for:
- the woofer,
- the amplifier module,
- the two openings for the bass tubes (the port)

Then the feet are fixed. The distance to the floor tunes the box.

Tuning the port

Sub 28 from behind To tune the subwoofer to make deep bass reproduction possible, two very long ports are used. Every port consists of two back- to back fixed single HP 70 ports. We recommend to build in the first one and than add the second one from inside the cabinet. Both should be fixed with a solid tape. Before all four should be shortend.

The composed ports will be wrapped with needle felt which will be fixed with kable ties.

If there is som erest of the needle felt use this on the floor of the woofer around the ports.

Now all has to be assemled: The amplifier module, afterwards the woofer. The contacts on the amplifier module a a bit too big; so cut them off.

Now fix the woofer.

The DT150 can be adjusted in the bass properties. We recommend the neutral settings which are the original settings.

Beginning of operation

The subwoofer should be connected to your amplifier.

Now have much fun with your subwoofer - and if you have any question, please don't hesitate to ask (Tel: 0049-(0)721-9703724 or Email: info@lautsprechershop.de)
